Itinerary Highlights
- Day 1: The Golden Circle. Your adventure begins with the classic Golden Circle route. Visit the historic Þingvellir National Park, feel the power of the mighty Gullfoss waterfall, and watch the Strokkur hot spring erupt at the Geysir geothermal area. We’ll also stop at the vibrant Kerið volcanic crater. Overnight: 3-star hotel.
- Day 2: The Magnificent South Coast. Journey along the magical South Coast, stopping at the iconic Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls, as well as the hidden Gljúfrabúi. Walk along the dramatic Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach before checking into your hotel. After dinner, your guide will help you look out for the Northern Lights! Overnight: 3-star hotel.
- Day 3: Glaciers & Ice Caves. Head further east to the stunning Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach. Strap on your crampons for an exhilarating glacier hike and explore the breathtaking interiors of a natural ice cave. On the way back to Reykjavík, we’ll drive through the moss-covered Eldhraun lava fields and make a stop in Vík.
