About the Experience
Discover the ultimate Icelandic adventure on this comprehensive 4-day, small-group tour. Designed to showcase the absolute best of Iceland’s natural wonders, this journey takes you through the famous Golden Circle, along the spectacular South Coast, and across the magical Snæfellsnes Peninsula.
With three nights of hotel accommodation (including breakfast and private bathrooms) sorted for you, you can relax and focus on the stunning scenery. You will explore powerful waterfalls, erupting geysers, volcanic black sand beaches, and majestic glaciers, with an option to add a thrilling Crystal Ice Cave exploration to your package.
Itinerary Highlights
- Day 1: The Golden Circle & Black Sand Beach. Start your journey at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site located between two tectonic plates. Witness the erupting Geysir geothermal area and the roaring Gullfoss waterfall, before heading south to end the day walking along the striking basalt columns of Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach.
- Day 2: Glaciers & Ice Caves. Travel further east to the stunning Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where massive icebergs float toward the ocean. Walk among the glittering ice chunks on Diamond Beach. (If selected at booking, you will also embark on a thrilling Crystal Ice Cave tour).
- Day 3: South Coast Waterfalls. Journey back along the South Coast to visit the charming village of Vík. Take in the dramatic scenery and visit two of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls: Skógafoss (where you can hike up the steps alongside the falls) and Seljalandsfoss.
- Day 4: Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Escape to “Iceland in Miniature.” Explore the dramatic sea cliffs at Arnarstapi, walk the black pebble beach at Djúpalónssandur, and visit the historic Búðir Black Church and the seal colony at Ytri-Tunga. Finish with a stop at Mt. Kirkjufell, the most photographed mountain in Iceland.
