This glacier hiking adventure takes place on Sólheimajökull, a breathtaking mesmerizing outlet glacier of the mighty Mýrdalsjökull ice cap. Renowned for its accessible slopes, incredible ice formations, and striking colors—where untouched white snow is veined with black volcanic ash and brightened by dazzling blues—it is the perfect Playground for adventurers.
Your friendly, certified guide will meet you at the base camp, equip you with all the necessary safety gear, and brief you on the route before leading you safely onto the icy surface. As you hike past deep crevasses, towering ice walls, and glistening icicles, your guide will share fascinating insights into how these glaciers form and the geological history of Iceland. The higher you ascend, the more spectacular the views become, giving you panoramic sights of dramatic mountains, dark lava landscapes, and the black sands of the South Coast. You can even refill your water bottle in pure freshwater streams right on the ice!

What to Bring
- Proper Footwear: Sturdy, closed-toe hiking boots are strictly required! Athletic sneakers will not fit safely into the glacier crampons.
- Clothing: Warm, waterproof, and windproof outdoor clothing (Please bring a hat and gloves).
- Accessories: A reusable water bottle (you can drink fresh glacier water during the hike) and a camera!

- Duration: Approximately 4 hours in total (including preparation, safety briefing, and a 3-hour hike).
- Difficulty: Moderate. You must be able to walk on uneven and inclined terrain.
