🚤 RIB Whale Expedition: 2-Hour High-Speed Adventure 🐋
Embark on a thrilling 2-hour RIB adventure as we speed through the waves in search of majestic whales! Hold on tight as we navigate the open seas and encounter these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat for an unforgettable journey.
The Experience
Enjoy a spectacular and personal whale-watching experience! Our custom-built, 12-meter RIB speedboats allow us to get to the whales faster and approach them safely. Being positioned low in the water gives you an unparalleled, up-close view of the wildlife. You will have the chance to see Minke, Humpback, and Killer whales, alongside White-Beaked Dolphins and Harbour Porpoises. During the summer months, the tour also includes a visit to the island of Akurey to observe incredibly beautiful and charming puffins. We finish with a highly scenic route along the Reykjavík coastline.

- Specialized Gear: We provide warm flotation overalls (available up to size 3XL), life-vests, gloves, and goggles to keep you safe and comfortable.
- Comfortable Ride: Our custom boats are equipped with high-quality suspension seating to ensure extra safety and comfort, even on a choppy ocean.
- Museum Admission: Your booking includes free admission to the Whales of Iceland exhibition, located just a 15-minute walk from the harbor and open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Wildlife Guarantee: If there are no sightings during your trip, you will receive a free ticket to join a standard Classic or Express whale-watching tour!
What to Bring
- Clothing: We highly recommend wearing sturdy footwear and warm clothing to stay comfortable out on the water.
- Camera: Don’t forget your camera to capture amazing, up-close photos of your wildlife adventure!
📍 Meeting Point & Logistics
- Location: The ticket office is located at Ægisgarður 5E, 101 Reykjavík.
- Time & Check-in: You must arrive and check in at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure. Please note that anyone arriving later than 15 minutes before departure cannot be guaranteed a spot on the tour, and refunds will be forfeited.
- Pick-ups: Hotel transfers are available for an additional round-trip cost but must be booked at least one hour before departure.
- Identification: You will be asked to show a valid form of ID upon arrival for check-in.
Important Safety Information
- Health Restrictions: To participate, you must be in good physical health. This tour is not recommended for pregnant women, individuals with back problems or severe heart conditions.
- Age & Height Limits: Passengers must be at least 10 years old and a minimum of 140 cm (4’7″) tall to join the tour.
- Waiver: All participants will be asked to read and sign a safety waiver at the ticket office before boarding.
Good to Know & Policies
- Minimum Passengers: All departures require a minimum of 4 passengers to sail. If the minimum is not met, you will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.
- Shared Boats: For environmental reasons, tours during slower periods may be combined onto a shared boat with eco-friendly partners to ensure pristine waters and fewer emissions.
- Cancellation Policy: A 100% cancellation fee applies if the booking is cancelled 1 day (24 hours) or less before the scheduled event.
