What to Bring
- Clothing: Dress heavily in warm, windproof, and waterproof layers. It is always significantly colder out on the ocean than it is on land!
- Footwear: Sturdy, closed-toe shoes with good grip.
- Accessories: Camera or smartphone, sunglasses, and a warm hat.
Good to Know
- Duration: 3 hours.
- Meeting Point: You must pick up your boarding card at the North Sailing Whale Watching Centre no later than 30 minutes prior to departure. The ticket center is the prominent brown glass building located in the center of Húsavík, directly opposite the picturesque Húsavík Church.
- Location Note: Húsavík is located in North Iceland, about a 6-hour drive from Reykjavík or 1 hour from Akureyri.
- Accessibility: Due to the historic nature and layout of traditional oak boats, this tour is not wheelchair or stroller accessible.
- Family Friendly: Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Service animals are allowed.
- Nature Dictates: Sightings cannot be absolutely guaranteed as these are wild animals in their natural habitat.
