Itinerary Highlights
- Sólheimajökull Glacier Hike: Accompanied by a certified guide, you will gear up with crampons and an ice axe to hike across the glacier’s ridges and crevasses, learning about the geological forces at work.
- Natural Ice Cave: During the hike, you will venture inside a naturally formed ice cave on the glacier to witness its striking blue ice and unique formations up close.
- Skógafoss Waterfall: Stand before one of Iceland’s largest waterfalls, which drops 65 meters from ancient sea cliffs. According to local legend, a Viking chest of gold is hidden behind its heavy curtain of water.
- Seljalandsfoss Waterfall: Visit this famous waterfall, where a walking path allows you to walk fully behind the cascading water (weather and trail conditions permitting).
